Hi, I’m Rachel, the author at Holistic Faith Lifestyle!
My husband, Aaron, and I have been married for 16 years and have two kids; a son in 6th grade and a daughter in 2nd. We love living on the Emerald Coast of Northwest Florida and can’t seem to get enough beach days or bike nights!
I often find myself searching for ways to preserve presence of mind and impart some gentleness to the blink-and-you’ll-miss-it pace of modern life! I love sharing ways I’ve found to to tend the mind, body, spirit connection in a way that honors God and all that is divinely created.
I grew up not far from where we live now and am thankful for so much of that small hometown experience and the idyllic beauty of beach and forest that permeates my fondest childhood memories.
There’s a special ‘rootedness‘ that comes from that sort of upbringing. But like most of us at some point, we have to search a bit deeper when what we were taught as kids meets real life.
For example, here in the Bible Belt south there was, and still is to some degree, a passionate debate over science and spirituality as though they have irreconcilable differences and the universe can tolerate only one winner. Yet isn’t it wild how many of us use nature to connect to ourselves, our God, our foundations, and to improve our relationships with other people? Just the same, each discovery about the age of our earth, how things came to be, those that came before us, or how we’ve evolved all exhibits the vastness of God. I now marvel at the interdependence of science and spirit.
Opportunities for learning and shifts in thinking cause me to ponder, wrestle and rejoice. It’s a big push for why I write.
Here at Holistic Faith Lifestyle, you’ll find encouragement in your mindful, contemplative walk with the creator of all things. You’ll leave empowered to ask more questions and challenged to continually evaluate sections of your life you thought were well hidden or less important some how.
It is my hope that through full surrender, you’ll find freedom and confidence to approach God with your entire self, receiving mercy and grace in your time of need (Ephesians 3:12, Hebrews 4:16).
Wherever you are in your holistic faith journey, I hope you can sense an open invite! I’d love to have you join the conversation by commenting on a post, connecting on social media, or shooting me an email.
I’ll see you out there!
